Current System Status: All systems operational

The following are known issues in the current Apporto product.  A few of these are outside of our control (e.g. due to OS and browser limitations).  Those which we can fix are being addressed in upcoming patches and releases.
  • An error occurs when attempting to mount Google Drive via the Cloud Mounter. The error will go away as soon as Google renews Apporto’s application. Until then, we recommend using the native File Upload / Download feature or opening a browser within the virtual desktop to navigate to GDrive.
  • We are aware of an issue where the top 25% of the virtual desktop screen becomes unresponsive when accessed through Google Chrome version 125.0.6422.142. While we work to resolve this, we recommend using Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox as a workaround.
  • Scaling the virtual desktop to a resolution of 175% or above causes visual artifacts.  This will be fixed in our next patch.
  • Users see a black screen when using the Safari browser on a Mac device (with MacOS Ventura or Sonoma).  We recommend using Chrome until we can fix this issue.
  • Copy paste does not work in Safari due to a browser limitation.  We recommend using Chrome.

On September 18, 2024 at 10:30 AM EST, our database experienced an overload due to an unusually high volume of connection requests. The issue was resolved by 11:15 AM EST. The root cause was identified as a log-in storm with additional capacity added to mitigate.

On September 5th, 2024 a SaaS security scanning tool caused an overload on our servers, leading to slow connections and login errors. Our team is collaborating with the vendor to use a different time window for scanning to prevent this occurrence.

On August 3rd, 2024 a SaaS security scanning tool overloaded our servers, causing slow connections and login errors. Our administrators disabled the tool. We’re working with the vendor to prevent future issues.

On June 19th, 2024 during new web server configuration implementation, each server was temporarily removed from the load-balancer rotation. After changes, a resource limit was breached, preventing proper restarts. This made the portal sites inaccessible to customers.

On November 25th, 2022 a Microsoft Azure Databricks issue impacted our web servers. Some customers experienced intermittent connectivity issues. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed full resolution yet, so we are keeping an eye on the issue.

On March 7th, 2022 Apporto customers hosted in the AWS Northern Virginia data center may have experienced a performance issue due to the profile management service experiencing issues. This issue was resolved.

On February 8th, 2022 Apporto customers hosted in the AWS Northern California data center may have experienced slowness due to the profile management service consuming significant resources. This issue was resolved.

On February 7th, 2022 Apporto customers hosted in the AWS Northern California data center may experience intermittent file upload/download issues as a result of the ongoing AWS storage optimization. We expect this process to complete soon and are working with cloud support to resolve the issue.

On December 7th, 2021 Apporto customers who were hosted on AWS in the Northern Virginia region may have experienced issues due to a widespread AWS outage at the time. Some users may have faced the message that capacity was being added and, because of the outage, may not have been able to connect to a VM session.
