Configuring the Help menu
The Help menu in the upper right corner of Apporto provides support resources to all users.
By default, the Help menu includes the following links.
- About Apporto – This pop-up displays the current versions of the Apporto API and application.
- User Guide – This link opens the apporto.com Help Center in a new browser tab.
- Support Request – This link opens the apporto.com support request form in a new browser tab.
You may adjust the Help menu to point to your own documentation and support systems, if desired. Use the information in this guide to learn how to:
View the Help menu configuration
To view the current Help menu configuration, follow the steps below.
- Log in to the system using your credentials.
- Click setup or the icon in the navigation panel to view the Setup screen.
- Click on the “Help menu” tab.
- The list of Help menu items will display. You may filter the list or adjust the displayed columns to locate records. See the article on working with lists for more information.
Add a new menu item
The table below shows the values that make up a menu item.

The Help menu may contain up to 5 websites and 1 help desk link. To add a new menu item, follow the steps below.
- Click create new help menu to be directed to the Help menu setup screen.
- Enter the form values into all necessary fields.
- Click save changes to submit the new values.
- The system will return you to the “Help menu” tab with the new menu item showing in the list.
Edit a menu item
The “About Apporto” link is always on, as it provides information about the platform. But all other menu items may be edited.
To edit a menu item, follow the steps below.
- Click edit on a menu item in the list to be directed to the Update Help menu screen.
- Update any necessary values.
- Click save changes to commit the changes.
- The system will update the menu item and return you to the “Help menu” tab.
Remove a menu item
To remove an unnecessary menu item, follow the steps below.
- Click delete on a menu item in the list to trigger the Delete Help menu pop-up.
- Click confirm to verify that you want the menu item removed, or you may click cancel to exit the process without deleting.
- After your selection, the pop-up will close and you will be returned to the “Help menu” tab.
