Infrastructure	On-premises, cloud, and hybrid using the same technology and control plane.	Achieving a hybrid setup requires the parallel deployment of Horizon and Horizon Cloud, resulting in the management of two environments.
Architecture	Apporto’s architecture offers a highly scalable fault-tolerant solution by leveraging container technology deployed on Kubernetes infrastructure. By utilizing Kubernetes infrastructure, Apporto can deploy its solution in a wide range of hypervisors and cloud environments.	The Horizon infrastructure uses a bolt-on approach, and many administrators experience system sprawl as more and more VMs are needed for additional features and functions.
Streaming Protocol	The Apporto Hyperstream protocol is designed for the Internet and modern browsers. It enables an excellent user experience with low bandwidth using H.264 video technology. Hyperstream delivers 60 FPS, heavy-weight graphical applications, and video conferencing within the desktop.	VMware Horizon offers a number of protocols (PCOIP, Blast) that require a client. The performance of those in the web browser is sub-par.
